Bilingual Theater Program with the Global Seal of Biliteracy
The Language and Theater program, or "Bilingual Theater" is a three-week summer program designed for youth of all ages from 15 to 20 years old. Youth in the program use English and French to tell a story through the performing arts of music, dance, and acting.
This program is in partnership with the Daniel Sorano National Theater of Dakar in Dakar, Senegal and The H.E.ART Heartfelt Education through the Arts in Los Angeles, California.
Program participants will work with professionals in the performing arts from California and Dakar to put on a real Broadway-like production that they will perform in front of a live audience in the National Theater.
College credits are available with this program when the student takes and passes the STAMP Test for the Global Seal of Biliteracy.

What is Bilingual Theater?
Bilingualism and creativity are two skills that are essential for a 21st Century education. Bilingual theater brings education together with the arts. It is a method of promoting second language acquisition and executive functioning skills through real-world experiences that engage the senses.
21st Century Skills

Youth in the program use English and French to tell a story through the performing arts of music, dance, and acting. Through this program, participating youth will gain the following skills:
