Learning Language With All Five Senses | Elizabeth Porter | TEDxRichland
We must change the way we think about language. Language is living! Language constantly changes and adapts to different parts of the world, time periods, generations, and to individuals themselves. I am a National Board Certified French Teacher and Franco-American. I have 18 years of teaching experience. I began my teaching career in France, teaching elementary and middle school English in Caen, France. I then taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades at the French Immersion School of WA in Bellevue, WA. I taught high school French and was the World Languages Curriculum Specialist in Central Kitsap School District in Silverdale, Wa. In 2007 I moved to Iowa where I taught French and worked as a curriculum specialist in a home school program in Linn Mar School District in Marion, IA. I moved back to Washington State in 2013 and in 2016 opened Bon Voyage French School- a French language school focusing on linguistic education and cultural experience.
